I trawled the local charity shops yesterday – searching for haberdashery in second hand shops is fruitless these days, I suppose it’s because not so many people sew anymore…anyway, I did have one find, three large cones of thread.

The two larger cones have 15,000 metres of thread and the smaller 7,000 which is more than I would ever use but I bought the three for $2, so what could I do? I had to buy them of course.
I could use the pink cone on my next shirt but I already have a reel of silk thread I plan to use, it has a lovely sheen and should look good on the plain cotton fabric.

It’ll be nice to make a plain shirt after having to match the small gingham on the previous shirt.
Time to face the morning.
Regards,
Will.
