Not me, I was slow to learn about the advantages of fabric glue, there has been a stick hanging around my workroom for at least a year and it wasn’t used or even considered – but I wanted to attach a thin bias strip to the front placket of the gingham shirt I’m making, so I tried it out and it makes the whole process much simpler.

Also on sleeve plackets, I use a .5cm seam on the first turn which doesn’t always stay in place so I glued that; it helped to hold it.

I’ve used Sewline glue, it obviously lasts well because it’s been hanging around for such a long time just waiting to be used.

Time to start the day with practical things and then sewing.

Will.
