Good evening all,
I never knew about finger pressing until I began quilting and now I use it for all sewing where there is a fold-over seam, it makes it easier to iron the seam afterwards.

Useful with seams like sleeve plackets, I cut the placket, push it through to the outside.

I really twist that little centre seam with my thumb until it’s flat and defeated.

Everything just falls into place before I even iron, it makes the whole task so much easier.

Same with collars or cuffs, any seam like this.
I’m working on my Toad shirt, looking forward to wearing it, it’s a very nice piece of soft, polished cotton, perfect for the hot summer we are expecting.
Regards,
Will.
