I have always copied my important patterns onto pattern card because they last, I made this pattern several decades ago and it’s still going well. I don’t sew as much as I used to and now only use one pattern which I vary for different looks but I have a few dozen others, waistcoats, jackets, etc, I hang them in a cupboard so they are straight and ready to use.

I make a list of which pattern I used for each shirt, I was using Simplicity 8711, a 1979 pattern a lot, so decided to use it for my block shirt.

The only other pattern I’m using currently is a Simplicity 1544 size 38/96 and my bow tie pattern.
